CAP / About

Know your rights. Watch your government. See the evidence.

The Commonwealth Accountability Project is a Kentucky-focused public-information project built around constitutional rights, primary sources, and evidence-first accountability.

What CAP does now

CAP's public site is intentionally focused on rights education: the First Amendment, Kentucky constitutional and statutory rights, public access, and documented local rights concerns.

What CAP is not trying to maintain right now

CAP is not currently operating a comprehensive meeting calendar, public-official directory, spending dashboard, or day-to-day local-government activity tracker. Those features can return later if they become useful and sustainable.

Evidence standards

FACTSupported by reliable evidence.
ALLEGATIONA claim that has not been established as fact.
QUESTIONAn issue CAP is examining without pretending the answer is already known.
LEGAL CONTEXTExplanation of statutes, constitutional doctrine, cases, or official legal guidance.
CAP ANALYSISCAP's interpretation, clearly separated from official fact.
Core rule

CAP does not invent government activity, votes, outcomes, investigations, records requests, quotations, or evidence to make the site look more active.

CAP provides general educational information. CAP is not a law firm and does not provide individualized legal advice.
